Back in October 2022, we took over the Maarakool art space at 140 Perth hosting a group exhibition and running a bunch of workshops throughout the month with various artists.
Part 1–
We partnered with 140 Perth to present a gallery and series of free workshops featuring artists from WA and across Australia in the Maarakool creative art space. We launched the gallery with a bang. Featuring live art by Honey (@honeysmuralco) and over 15 artists / 35 pieces up for sale in the gallery.

Part 2–
We ran 3 workshops throughout October at 140 Perth, all of which were sold out which was awesome to see! Mikaela Miller (@mikmiller_) ran a ‘paint by numbers’ style workshop on the temporary wall at the Maarakool Art Space. Painted with a bunch of kids, young and old - the final piece is amazing and was such a great backdrop for the remaining workshops.
Jimmy Pringle (@jimmypringle) showed the kids how to paint skateboard decks with various techniques, using spray cans and brushes. This was such a fun workshop and the kids loved having something to take home with them after they finished.
Pantone C (@pantonecworkshop) held the final workshop for the month with 25 kids painting small canvases with spray cans and paint pens - this was a short into into the use of multiple tools on smaller scale, and some of the pieces turned out great!

part 3–
fudge (@fudgerigarto) was the selected artist for the last activation - a sketch club held inside max and sons coffee at the entry to the centre.
Fudge managed to smash out 16 unique cups throughout the peak hour period - it’s just another way of showcasing artists’ creative talents in a unique way - we love it, and Fudge, you nailed it man!
